Le
Pehau is an attractive “Maison de Maitre”
built in the 18th century, with parts of the building dating back
to the 15th century. The adjoining Coach House and Petite Maison
have been thoughtfully renovated, and all the properties
are situated in 2.5 acres of beautiful garden. |

Le Pehau
is in the village of Osserain, on the border
of the Pays Basque and the Béarn areas in South West France.
You will always find a warm welcome from your hosts Martin
and Helen Grimes, and from the local towns folk. |

This
area of France has outstanding views of the nearby Pyrenees. The nearest ski resort is one hours drive away
and the famous Col de Tourmalet with Barege / La Mongie,
the largest ski resort in the French Pyrenees, can be
reached within 2 hours. |
The historic
medieval town of Sauveterre de Béarn is 3.5kms away and
has all the shops needed for the essentials of life “en
France” – numerous butchers, bakers and bars
and a small supermarket. A cool "pression" beer
on the sun deck of ‘La Terrasse’, looking
at the view of the mountains and watching the sun go down
is sure to be just one of many fond memories you will
have from this stunning part of France. |
