When Napoleon Bonaparte tied his mighty white horse Vizir to a tree at Le Pehau in 1814 he looked across the field and saw the “Maison de Maitre” where you will be staying. In 1989 road plans were rapidly changed when local administrators realised the significance of the site. Built in the 18th century, with parts of the building dating back to the 14th century you are now entering a region steeped in history and famous for preserving the 'real France'. Welcome to Le Pehau - fit for an Emperor (and his horse).
